I have to say, this was one of the more enjoyable comics to create. In my line of work, I don't get the chance to dabble in the surreal, so this very comic scratched that itch.
Writer's Note:
So "Link's Awakening" is easily my favorite Zelda game, in part because it introduced the best item in the entire Zelda series, but also due to its wonderfully surreal (and silly) setting. It's definitely worth checking out if you can find a copy.
And as an added kicker, the little quote in the last panel comes from the Lewis Carroll poem, "A Boat Beneath a Sunny Sky". If you're into that sort of thing, I recommend checking that out as well.
