...I guess this is the option for the casual gamer? But it feels so... cheap? I don't know how I feel about having the option of maxing things out for the sake of story.
I think the max-stat feature was a really lazy development decision by Square. It's one thing to make the game more accessible to players, such as creating a mode with weaker enemies, but it's another thing entirely to have the party kill off 90% of the bosses in a single round. But then again, this isn't so different from their other console game ports to iOS, which all feature high prices and minimal development cost. It's the video game nostalgia tax at its finest.
