Japan Diary: Oh Deer

Yes, this is indeed a thing. Nara in general makes for a very nice daytrip: you can take a leisurely walk around the park, see the giant buddha statue at the local temple, feed a few deer some rice crackers, watch as more deer gather to get in on that sweet rice cracker action, get increasingly nervous as your cracker supply dwindles and the number of deer keep rising, until finally you are carried off into the woods by hundreds of deer, never to be seen again. 

In other words: five stars, would go again.
