Honestly this looks more like a D&D scenario, where almost all the characters are morally compromised, and the only good character is the goddamn cleric. Feels pretty legit to me!
Hey guys, so I recently started up a Ko-fi for Berds & Nerds! I'm still new to it, so hopefully I'll be able to figure out how it works. However, I've been meaning to start this up since folks have been inquiring about sending donations to us. Just click below!
Most of the character abilities in Octopath are basically the definition of "ludonarrative dissonance". Maybe you can forgive Olberic's ability to challenge old ladies to armed combat as being very progressive in terms of age and gender stereotypes, but H'annit literally just attacks people with her giant cat companion, with absolutely no canonical explanation as to why. It's bizarre and awesome, and I absolutely would not remove it from the game given the choice.
