Sarah’s been quite miffed lately with the proliferation of perfectly-square, 4-panel Instagram-optimized webcomics. But instead of just fuming about it, we decided to give the format a try this week, starting with this awful (and late) Halloween comic. The small image size basically forces you to keep the humor very direct and very shallow, which makes sense given these types of comics are meant to be read in less than 5 seconds. It’s definitely an awkward fit in this comic, but I think the one we have planned for Thursday will be much better.
